How to use Cave Crawlers ModMenu
How to use the Cave Crawlers Mod Menu
A quick start, top to bottom. Takes about two minutes.
1. Install MelonLoader
The menu loads through MelonLoader, so install that first.
- Get it from the official page: <https://melonwiki.xyz/#/?id=requirements>
- Run the installer, point it at your Cave Crawlers folder (the one with
Cave Crawlers.exe), and let it install. Automated mode is fine. - You need MelonLoader 0.7.3 or newer.
2. Run the game once, then quit
Start Cave Crawlers and wait until you reach the main menu, then close it.
This step is not optional. On its first launch MelonLoader builds the support
files an IL2CPP game needs — a black console window fills with text for a few
minutes. Let it finish. If you drop the mod in before doing this, it will look
broken when it isn't.
3. Drop in the mod
Take CaveCrawlersMenu.dll from the modmenu folder and put it in:
<your Cave Crawlers folder>\Mods\
MelonLoader created that Mods folder in step 2. Copy just the .dll — not the
folder around it.
4. Open it in-game
Load into a run, then press Right Shift or Insert to open and close the
menu. Drag the header to move the window.
That's it — you're in.
Getting around
Tabs run down the left, grouped Player, Combat, Visuals and Menu.
- Player — hold your health, move speed, threat, interact range and your weapon stats. Each row has a small switch: leave it off and the slider shows your real value; flip it on to lock in your own.
- Movement — bunnyhop (hold Space to auto-jump on landing).
- Progression — unlock all perks, max the expertise tree, add or remove expertise points.
- Combat — melee reach and an enemy hitbox expander so arrows and swings land more easily.
- ESP — see enemies (with bosses), chests with a loot preview, and special zones. It draws even with the menu closed and only you can see it.
- Settings — rebind the keys, scale the window, and fix the resolution if the picture looks soft (see the tip below).
Everything works whether you host or join — it all runs on your own machine and
never needs the other players to have the mod.
Two quick tips
- Looks blurry? Cave Crawlers forces 1080p at startup, which gets upscaled on a sharper monitor. Settings has Force native resolution (on by default) and a Match monitor now button.
- A stat did nothing? Weapon stats like attack speed drive real weapons — swords and bows. Tools such as the pickaxe swing on a fixed animation and ignore them.
If the menu won't open
Look at the MelonLoader console that opens with the game. It prints a line at
startup saying the menu loaded and which keys toggle it. No line means the DLL
isn't in Mods or MelonLoader didn't install — redo steps 1–3. If it says
"menu is disabled", the file was modified; grab a clean copy from
