Melon Loader Installation Guide

Overview

This quick guide shows how to install Melon Loader and add it to your Unity game.

Download Melon Loader

1. Go to the official Melon Loader download page:

• https://melonwiki.xyz/#/?id=requirements

2. Download MelonLoader.Installer.exe.
3. Save it somewhere easy to find.

Install Melon Loader (Normal Method)

1. Right‑click the installer → Run as Administrator.
2. Click Select.
3. Open your game folder.
4. Choose the game .exe file.
5. Click Install.

When finished, you should see a success message.

Manual Game Selection (If Game Isn't Detected)

Sometimes the installer cannot auto-detect the game.

1. Open your game’s install folder manually.

• Steam → Library → Right‑click game → Manage → Browse local files

2. Find the main game executable (GameName.exe).
3. In the Melon Loader installer, press Select.
4. Choose the executable directly.
5. Click Install.

First Launch

Start the game normally.

Melon Loader will create these folders automatically:

• Mods/ — mods go here
• Plugins/ — plugins
• UserData/ — configs
• Logs/ — error logs

If a console window appears, installation worked.

Installing Mods

1. Download a compatible mod.
2. Extract if needed.
3. Put the .dll file into the Mods folder.
4. Launch the game.

Updating / Uninstalling

Run the installer again and select your game:

• Install → update
• Uninstall → remove Melon Loader

Quick Troubleshooting

Game won’t start

• Check Logs/
• Verify game files

Mods not loading

• Make sure mods match your game version
• Confirm files are inside Mods/

Done — Melon Loader is now installed and ready.
